This is a nice two tiered serving plate/dish. It has the marking on the bottom Nippon Hand Painted with the symbol of the rising sun. This mark is probably related to Noritake. The mark is datable to the "Nippon" period 1890-1921 and possibly into the 1930's. It has some wear around the gold trim which is normal handling over time. It has a green trim with blue embossed dots around the edge. There are some manufacturing flaws in this piece; one on the plate and also a mark on the inside of the bowl. It does have a slight crack in the plate. When I run my fingernail across it, it doesn't catch on the front portion, but will slightly on the back.
